Having organically captured 20 million users in their first year, they are now preparing to scale to hundreds of millions.

We are seeking a Foundational Site Reliability Engineer to take absolute ownership of their platform reliability. This is a once in a lifetime opportunity to build and orchestrate cutting-edge infrastructure—including massive GPU clusters—for a platform serving millions of AI generations every single day.

The Role As the first dedicated SRE, you will be the ultimate authority on platform stability, observability, and scaling architecture.

Key Projects & Responsibilities:

• Total Reliability Ownership: Drive initiatives to drastically improve uptime and reduce RTO across all critical microservices and core infrastructure.
• GPU Orchestration: Design, harden, and scale bleeding-edge GPU clusters to meet massive, continuous daily demand for AI processing.
• Platform Observability: Architect and implement comprehensive, platform-wide observability (metrics, tracing, alerting) from the ground up and enforce strict SLOs.
• AWS Optimization: Deeply optimize AWS infrastructure, maximizing compute efficiency and reducing cloud spend without compromising on elite performance.

About You 
  
You are a infrastructure expert with a genuine “hunger to win.” You thrive in environments that have high agency, and a super fun, in-person collaborative culture. What else: 

• Strong experience operating complex, high-traffic production systems at a large scale.
• Strong AWS expertise, encompassing Infrastructure-as-Code, high-scale compute, and K8s/ECS (or similar orchestration).
• Deep, hands-on experience with advanced observability platforms, CI/CD pipelines, and high-stakes incident response.
• Familiarity with (or ability to seamlessly integrate with) their tech stack: TypeScript, Next.js, React, TailwindCSS, tRPC, Postgres, and Temporal.
• A true builder’s mindset: you take end-to-end responsibility for the pieces you own.

• Compensation: A$300,000 – A$600,000 + Life-Changing Equity. 
• Location: 100% On-site in cool offices in Sydney.
