What you could be doing
- Build the Engine: Design and implement scalable internal approval processes, spend tracking, and financial workflows so the business can scale without friction – leveraging AI everywhere possible.
- Own the Close: Drive a lightning-fast, highly accurate month-end close with strict accrual and accounting discipline.
- Strategic Partnering: Serve as the proactive finance interface for the leadership team, delivering crucial revenue and management reporting that drives rapid, high-leverage decision-making.
- Manage the Stack: Own GL coding and allocation, and seamlessly manage the daily workflow and relationship with external bookkeepers and the fractional CFO.
What you bring:
- Commercial Edge: Proven month-end close experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment (likely Startup/Scaleup). You have in-house business experience.
- High Agency: You own every outcome end-to-end. You don’t wait for instructions; you identify friction points and build solutions.
- Pace & Ambition: You thrive in ambiguity and possess the hustle required to deliver in a hyper-growth scale-up. You leverage modern tools (especially AI) to multiply your output.
- Communication: Excellent ability to translate complex financial realities to non-finance founders and technical stakeholders without handoff friction.
