We are partnering with an exceptionally well-backed tech startup stationed right at the bleeding edge of their industry. With a massive runway and incredible founders, they are tackling a deeply technical problem space—building foundational infrastructure and platforms that respond to massive, rapidly shifting data landscapes. They are not building just another SaaS tool; they are building the layer-1 architecture for their sector.

This is a genuine “Founding Engineer” mandate for someone who loves turning ambitious ideas into reliable software, and treating customer trust as core engineering work. You’ll be working directly with the founders to shape the technical direction, the product and the engineering culture.

What you’ll be doing:

• Owning and extending the full stack, designing and shipping customer-facing features from complex backend pipelines to highly interactive UIs.
• Making pragmatic architectural calls on modern cloud infrastructure (AWS/Serverless), ensuring reliability and scale.
• Spending real time with early customers—investigating issues and turning recurring pain points into durable product improvements.
• Setting the engineering standard, guiding trade-offs (knowing when to ship vs. when to polish), and laying the groundwork to mentor future hires.

What you’ll bring to the team:

• Battle-tested experience as a Senior Software Engineer, with deep technical spikes across modern stacks (we’re looking for strong fundamentals across TypeScript, Node.js, React, Python, Postgres, and/or AWS Serverless).
• The “Founder Mentality”—a bias for action, high commercial maturity, and the ability to navigate the ambiguity of an early-stage build.
• Proven experience working with complex systems, whether that’s high-volume data ingestion or building foundational layer platforms.
• Excellent communication skills—you can explain a technical decision to a peer, a trade-off to a founder, and a feature to a user.
